I know it’s cheesy but there are some things that grandparents can give you that parents, even if they try, can’t. This information is quite reliable because I have first-hand experience. For the past couple of days, I have been staying with my grandparents. Sometimes you need people other than your parents and what’s better than the people that raised them to see who are behind the people that drive you crazy at times. Since you are always with your parents, then never really express to you how much they love having you around but the second I walked into my grandparents’ house, my grandma told me how much she appreciated that I thought of her and how much she loved having me around. Another thing is that they treat you like royalty (I mean seriously). Doesn’t matter how much you want to help them out, they want you to be as relaxed and at home and as spoiled as can be. I mean, your parents can’t even compare. Finally, these are the people that raised the people that gave birth to you so if you think your parents give the best advice, you are mistaken. I mean I was down in the dumps when I stepped into my grandparents’ house and I received the best advice that could have been given to me. “Everyone has hard time but you have to stay strong or you won’t be able to survive when everything gets better.” –My grandmother. Not only do they give good advice, they make you feel so much better (and not only by their great food). My grandparents are people to lift you off your feet by letting me know that I am not alone and that there are so many people out there in the same situation I’m in. My parents are great but they are so worried about my future that they forget that it’s killing me more than it is them. Whatever happens every child should know that whatever happens that you will always have a special spot in your grandparents’ hearts and their doors will always be open when you need them. Seriously if you are going to run away from home, it’s the best place to go. Anyways, never forget to love your grandparents.
